Changing Cayman is a collaborative effort between the Planning Department and the Cayman Islands National Archive

The last ten years has seen many changes on Seven Mile Beach, especially the loss of much vegetation due to major hurricanes such as Mitch and Ivan. The Sovereign, a condominium development located just south of the Royal Palms, lost most of its Casuarinas (an exotic species from the South Pacific) and has replanted with palms.
