Changing Cayman is a collaborative effort between the Planning Department and the Cayman Islands National Archive

The Royal Palms has been an institution on Seven Mile Beach for decades. The initial photo in this series was taken in May, 1986, after the main hotel building was destroyed by fire. Note the taller (and fewer) palms out front, as well as minor changes to the signage. (Original photo 1986 courtesy of Leo Bradshaw).
