Changing Cayman is a collaborative effort between the Planning Department and the Cayman Islands National Archive

The Post Office 'square' has seen drastic changes between 1967 and 2008. The changes to Cardinall Street are most evident, with the new Scotiabank building anchoring the northwest corner, and the arcaded shopping centres being developed on the south side of Cardinall Street. Additional landscaping within the road right-of-way and new pedestrian crosswalks (including Cayman's first in the left-hand side of this photo) have also added to the changes.
