Changing Cayman is a collaborative effort between the Planning Department and the Cayman Islands National Archive

The last ten years has seen many changes on Seven Mile Beach, especially the loss of vegetation due to major hurricanes such as Mitch and Ivan. This property, adjacent to Laguna del Mar, has lost much of its vegetation including Coconut Palms and Casuarinas, as well as the cabana located in the foreground (Original photo 1998).
